Not sure what version you use. Have you tried the hatch pattern creator? (for 2d) For 3d you can use the pattern tool(if you have platinum). In version 20 (with part tree on) I create a 3d pattern of the negative spaces. Then draw a polyline of the shape I want extrude the shape. Boolean subtract the pattern from the extrude and change the line style of the polyline to invisible. If you need to change the size of the mesh you can edit nodes of the polyline and adjust the number of columns and rows in the selection info palette.

My question is how to pattern the sketch of the shape so that I dont have to copy or mirror over 100 of these sketches/outlines to form the pattern? Essentially I want my mesh to fill in a 30' x 30' square. Nov 26, 2012 I have a simple frame made of a 1/2 rod and have inserted a textured appearance of expanded metal.

It is a guard. I am not sure if the way i inserted the texture is correct, but it currently is scaled down to small.

Have to scroll in lots to actually see the expanded metal. Is there a better way to apply the texture than creating a surface? How can I adjust the scale of the texture? Maybe applying a texture is not the best way to show that this guard is to have a section of expanded metal that will fit inside the 16x24 in guard? A note is not ideal in the drawing, but I suppose it is better than making an actual model of the expanded metal. Part is attached below. Inventor 2013 Pro.

Oct 29, 2012 I am trying to import thousands of pictures into Lightroom as I have a mess of pictures do to a long story. But basically I have probably 30,000 pictures in a bunch of folders that I want to import. One issue I have found is that I don't want to import TIFF, BMP, GIF, or things like PNG. I really only want jpg files or jpeg files unless I stumble across others in another format I haven't found yet. Can I set something during the import? I have searched the forums and internet, but haven't found anything that mentions this. How to clean up a mess like this where I have 30,000 pictures but probably only need 10,000 as there are duplicates upon duplicates due to having to move the pictures around in a hurry as I had a mess in my basement during a storm a couple years ago. Apr 9, 2012 I have an assembly that has somewhere a hole with a round bar that exactly fits in this hole. But when meshing the assembly, the mesh of the hole and the mesh of the bar are different. The result is that the different parts do only seem to touch each other at the edges of the mesh, resulting in high stresses. I tried to made a derived part from the assembly, but that one does not finish meshing.

After 48 hours, the progress bar is still half way. While the one above did finish in about 15 minutes.

What can I do to make the meshes match? Feb 22, 2012 Is it possible to determine which nodes are expanded using the API? I want to make some changes to the node information in an assembly browser but as there are many hundred parts so I only want to do the operation on the expanded nodes to keep any delay to a minimum.

Jan 16, 2013 How to compare two hatches are coincidence by use. May 29, 2013 I'm trying to hatch the attached drawing (extracted from the actual drawing) with two separate hatches, Now the quickest way is to hatch both areas with the same hatch and then use the properties painter, on each separate hatch, Unfortunately it's not hatching the areas separately. Apr 13, 2012 I can't seem to insert any hatches into my drawing except for a SOLID hatch. Attached is the.dwg Oct 11, 2012 How to add hatches to finished hatches in the classic view of autocad.
